Rainforest Rescue

Not for profit organisation Rainforest Rescue has been protecting and restoring rainforests in Australia and internationally since 1998.

Its projects re-establish rainforests through planting, maintenance and restoration programs, as well as purchasing and protecting high conservation value rainforest and preserving its biodiversity.

ReTone are supporters of Rainforest Rescue and the Plant a Rainforest Project.

ReTone offer to "Plant a Rainforest" tree for their customers associated with each sale they make. The total number of trees sponsored by ReTone to date is an impressive 12,504. Rainforest Rescue is ensuring the trees are nurtured to maturity, providing essential habitat for many endangered species of plants and animals.

Rainforest Rescue works with natural bush regeneration techniques and methods, whereby the trees are planted 1.5 metres apart to form a canopy which encompasses pioneer species, secondary species and mature phase species. The pioneer species cycle nutrients, are tough and resilient, and don’t take long to grow a canopy to block out the light. They create a great microclimate for the secondary and mature species to grow.

“Rainforest Rescue wishes to express our sincere appreciation to ReTone for your contribution for our Plant a Rainforest Project. We greatly appreciate your support and your commitment to corporate social responsibility and the environment.”

Kelvin Davies, CEO, Rainforest Rescue
